Jordan will be out of action for approximately six weeks

England pace bowler Chris Jordan will be sidelined for approximately six weeks after suffering a side strain.

Jordan sustained the injury while bowling during the second ODI against New Zealand at The Oval on June 12.

The injury rules Jordan out for the start of the upcoming Ashes series against Australia, which begins on June 8 in Cardiff.

Even though Jordan’s last Test for England came against the West Indies in May, the 26-year-old was included in the squad for the recent two-Test series against New Zealand, but was not picked for both matches.
