Pakistan all-rounder Fawad Alam has been called up to replace batsman Haris Sohail for the upcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka, which starts on July 11.
Sohail has returned back to Pakistan after injuring his knee during a training session in Galle. The 26-year-old has been advised to rest for at least two weeks and will undergo a rehabilitation programme at the national cricket academy in Lahore.
“Fawad will replace Sohail for the final Test and is also likely to be part of the one-day squad which will be announced later for the five matches in Sri Lanka,” a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) official told PTI.
