Following yet another rain-affected day, the one-off Test between Bangladesh and India in Fatullah is on track to end as a draw.
Starting out the day on 462/6, India declared on the overnight score with Harbhajan Singh finishing unbeaten on seven and Ravichandran Ashwin remaining undefeated on two.
Trailing by 462, Bangladesh got off to a poor start as opening batsman Tamim Iqbal was stumped by Wriddhiman Saha off the bowling of Ashwin for 19.
Imrul Kayes and Mominul Haque made up for the early loss of Iqbal with a 81-run partnership, during which Kayes brought up his half-century, before Haque was caught by Umesh Yadav at mid-off off the bowling of Singh for 30.
Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur Rahim only made two runs before he was caught by Rohit Sharma at leg slip off the bowling of Ashwin.
Kayes and Shakib Al Hasan were only able to amass an unbeaten one-run partnership before the heavens parted.
With the rain refusing to relent, the umpires had no choice but to bring play to an end for the day.
Kayes finished on 59 off 98 balls, which included 10 boundaries, while Al Hasan has yet to get off the mark.
