Australia opener Chris Rogers has been listed as doubtful for the second Test against the West Indies in Jamaica as he is still suffering from the after-effects of a concussion.

Rogers was hit on the helmet by a local net bowler prior to the first Test in Dominica and was subsequently ruled out of the match, which Australia won by nine wickets.

Even though Rogers faced some throw-downs in the Windsor Park nets during the first Test, team doctor Peter Brukner made it clear that Rogers still needs more time to recover.

“Chris is still experiencing some symptoms of concussion and the plan is have him take it easy another few days,” Brukner said. “In regards to his availability for selection for the second Test it’s too early to say at this stage.”
