Zimbabwe captain will miss the remainder of the ongoing ODI series against Pakistan after he was banned for two matches for maintaining a slow over-rate in the first ODI.
Zimbabwe were found to be three overs short when times allowances were taken into consideration. This led to Chigumbura getting suspended, while all the other members of the Zimbabwe team were fined 40 per cent of their match fee.
Since Chigumbura pleaded guilty to the charge, there will be no need for a formal hearing.
Pakistan won the first ODI by 41 runs and subsequently have a 1-0 lead heading into the second match, which is scheduled to be played on Friday.
