Nitin Patel has stepped down from his post as physiotherapist of the Indian national team due to personal reasons.
It is understood that Patel submitted his letter of resignation during the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL).
According to a Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) insider, Patel “made up his mind since he wants to spare more time at home”.
Patel has been one of India’s longest-serving support staff members as he became the national team’s physiotherapist midway through their tour of England in June 2007.
