New Zealand batsman Colin Munro has broken the record for the most sixes hit in a first-class innings.
Munro hammered 23 sixes during his knock of 281 for Auckland against Central Districts in the Plunket Shield.
The previous record of 16 had been achieved by four players, who are Andrew Symonds, Graham Napier, Jesse Ryder and Mukhtar Ali.
Munro, who failed to make the cut for New Zealand’s World Cup squad, recently signed with Worcestershire to play in the Natwest T20 Blast.
