Derbyshire have signed Western Australia pace bowler Nathan Rimmington for the upcoming edition of the Natwest T20 Blast.

Rimmington, who is widely regarded as one of the best death bowlers in domestic cricket, will be available for every single Natwest T20 Blast game.

In the 59 Twenty20s he has played since the Big Bash League (BBL) began in 2011, Rimmington has taken 65 wickets at an incredible average of 21.

“Nathan brings a wealth of experience bowling at the death which will be vital as we look to progress in the NatWest T20 Blast,” Derbyshire’s elite performance director, Graeme Welch, said. “People will have watched him in the Big Bash and know the quality he will bring to the side. Not only will he be a valuable asset at the end of the innings, he will also provide us with a proven strike bowler with the new ball.”
