The International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Event Technical Committee have allowed Imrul Kayes to replace Anamul Haque in Bangladesh’s World Cup squad.

Kayes was called up after Haque injured his shoulder while stopping a ball at the long leg boundary during Bangladesh’s six-wicket win over Scotland on Thursday.

Haque looked to be in severe pain and was rushed to hospital for scans. According to team physiotherapist Vibhav Singh, Haque has been diagnosed with a grade 3 joint strain.
