West Indies batsman Darren Bravo has been ruled out of the national team’s World Cup match against Zimbabwe, which is scheduled to take place in Canberra on Tuesday.
It was recently confirmed that Bravo had suffered a low-grade hamstring tear during the West Indies’ 150-run win over Pakistan.
During that match, Bravo retired hurt on 49 and had to leave the field on a motorised cart with his left leg raised.
“Windies confirm Darren Bravo to miss match vs Zimbabwe on Tuesday,” the West Indies team confirmed via their Twitter account. “The team remains hopeful he might be fit to face SA in Sydney on Friday.”
