Former West Indies batsman Wavell Hinds has been re-elected as president of the West Indies Players’ Association (WIPA).

Despite having been the centre of attention when the West Indies pulled out midway through their tour of India in October last year, Hinds still managed to keep hold of his position.

In fact, Hinds was re-elected unopposed at WIPA’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Hotel Four Season in Kingston, Jamaica.

However, there were a few changes made as Nixon Mclean was elected as the new WIPA vice-president, former captain Ridley Jacobs is now the new treasurer and Windward Islands captain Liam Sebastien has been chosen as the new assistant secretary.
