Junaid and Khansa got engaged while he was playing for Lancashire last year

After being ruled out of the World Cup with a thigh injury, Pakistan left-arm pace bowler Junaid Khan decided to tie the knot with 18-year-old Khansa Khan, who is a UK-based Pakistani woman.

Numerous well wishers, friends and cricketers attended the marriage ceremony, which was held in Junaid’s hometown of Dagai Mathra.

It has also been announced that the Walima, or marriage banquet, was held on Tuesday in Swabi.

According to sources, the Barat ceremony, which comprised of 100 vehicles, started from Dagai Mathra and ended up in Kohati Seri, which is the hometown of Khansa.

Junaid has confirmed that he now plans to travel to Saudi Arabia with his wife in order to perform Umrah, which is a pilgrimage to the city of Mecca.
