The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have asked the International Cricket Council (ICC) to set a date for all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez to have his action officially reassessed.

It is likely that Hafeez will get his action reassessed in the first week of February, which will give him some hope of passing the test and being allowed to bowl during the World Cup.

However, Hafeez recently failed an unofficial biomechanics test at the Sri Ramachandra University in Chennai since the results of that test showed that his elbow flex exceeded the 15-degree limit in six out of the 11 deliveries he bowled.

Hafeez was reported for a suspect action after the first Test against New Zealand in Abu Dhabi in November.
