England batsman Gary Ballance fractured the little finger on his right hand during a fielding session with the national team in Canberra.
However, Ballance is expected to make a full recovery before the World Cup gets underway on February 14.
“Gary Ballance has a fractured right little finger, sustained during fielding practice in Canberra,” the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said via Twitter. “Ballance will be available for the ICC Cricket World Cup and therefore we will not be calling another player into the squad.”
