Railways batsman Rohan Bhosale has been discharged from hospital after being hit on the back of the neck.
The incident occurred when Bhosale was fielding at forward short leg during Railways’ Ranji Trophy match against Tamil Nadu at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Even though he turned his back to the ball when Tamil Nadu batsman Rajagopal Sathish hit a full-blooded sweep shot, Bhosale still ended up being struck right on the back of the neck.
Bhosale was immediately stretchered off and rushed to Apollo Hospital in an ambulance.
However, just a short while later, Railways batting coach Syed Zakaria Zuffri confirmed that Bhosale was “absolutely fine”.
“Rohan is absolutely fine. All the scan reports are normal,” Zuffri said. “There is nothing to worry [about].”
