After being left out initially, West Indies all-rounder Darren Sammy has been included in the ODI squad for the upcoming series against South Africa.

Sammy, along with former captain Dwayne Bravo and all-rounder Kieron Pollard, were left out of the ODI squad when it was first named.

However, since it led to the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) being severely criticised, they decided to call up Sammy for the series.

Despite this, legendary West Indies pace bowler Michael Holding still believes that the trio have been victimised.

Sammy is currently representing the Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League (BBL) and will travel to South Africa prior to the start of the first ODI on January 16 in Durban.
