The Sydney Sixers produced a scintillating all-round performance to register a seven-wicket win over the Hobart Hurricanes at the Bellerive Oval.
With the match having been reduced to 19 overs per side due to the toss being delayed, Hurricanes captain George Bailey would have been mulling over his decision to bat first early on as opening batsman Alex Hales was caught behind off the bowling of Brett Lee for one run.
Ben Duck and Tim Paine made up for the early loss of Hales with a 48-run partnership before Dunk was caught by Lee at mid-on off the bowling of Sixers skipper Moises Henriques for 23.
Paine went on to score 36 runs before he was caught behind off the bowling of Doug Bollinger.
Jonathan Wells only made three runs before he was clean bowled by Luke Doran.
West Indies all-rounder Darren Sammy fared no better as he was caught by Nic Maddinson at deep midwicket off the bowling of Henriques for two runs.
Bailey and Evan Gulbis steadied the innings with a 49-run partnership, during which Bailey brought up his half-century, before he was caught by Jordan Silk at long-on off the bowling of Lee.
Bailey’s excellent knock of 71 came off 44 balls and included six boundaries and three sixes.

Joe Mennie was run out the very next ball by Silk for a diamond duck.
The Hurricanes lost another wicket the very next ball when Gulbis was caught by Ben Dwarshuis at extra cover off the bowling of Lee for 15.
Thanks to Bailey, the Hurricanes finished on 154/8 off their 19 overs.
Lee was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets, while Henriques snapped up two and Bollinger and Doran chipped in with one wicket apiece.
Chasing 155 to win, the Sixers got off to a poor start as Maddinson was caught by Dunk off the bowling of Xavier Doherty for 29.
Michael Lumb and Riki Wessels stabilised the innings with a 64-run partnership before Wessels was caught by Dunk at long-on off the bowling of Mennie for 22.
Lumb ended up making 44 off 31 balls, which included three boundaries and two sixes, before he was caught by Gulbis at deep square leg off the bowling of Cameron Boyce.
