Australia head coach Darren Lehmann believes that opening batsman Chris Rogers batted like West Indies legend Brian Lara during the second innings of the second Test against India in Brisbane.
Rogers went on to score 55 as Australia won the match by four wickets and took a 2-0 lead in the series.
“It was like Brian Lara batting. He was unbelievable and fantastic,” Lehmann said. “It is very impressive for an experienced guy to do that as he held the innings together. It could have easily been 20/2 and gone the other way. Small totals are always difficult and it’s best to get it over with as soon as you can.”
