Barbados batsman Omar Phillips has been cleared of serious injury after being struck on the back of the head during a first-class match against Windward Islands.
Phillips, who was standing at the non-strikers end at the time of the incident, lost conciousness when a shot from number three batsman Shai Hope hit him on the back of the head.
Phillips had been wearing a helmet at the time, but was still rushed to hospital for CT scan. According to the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB), the scan “came up negative for any damage”.
