Former New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming believes that India are not among the favourites to win the 2015 World Cup, which will be held in Australia and New Zealand.
Fleming has chosen Australia, New Zealand and South Africa as his top three teams to win the tournament. However, he found it hard to name a fourth contender as he feels there are many teams who have the potential and talent to surprise everyone.
“I will give you my top four teams. New Zealand and Australia because they play at home. South Africa are in good form and the fourth place is a bit difficult,” Fleming told PTI. “It could be anyone – India, Pakistan, West Indies, Sri Lanka. So I am going to go with Australia, New Zealand and South Africa and a fight for the fourth spot.
“I would just put it down to familiarity. Sri Lanka and India were the finalists last time. It was a very close contest. For the upcoming edition, there is quite a small difference [between the] teams.”
