Sri Lanka have announced that they will be making four changes to their squad for the last two ODIs against India, which will be held in Kolkata and Ranchi.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Kumar Sangakkara, pace bowler Dhammika Prasad, opening batsman Upul Tharanga and spinner Suraj Randiv will all be dropped after the third ODI in Hyderabad.

Sri Lanka have named pace bowler Shaminda Eranga, batsman Lahiru Thirimanne, wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Chandimal and spinner Ajantha Mendis as their replacements.

Thirimanne and Chandimal have been drafted into the side following a successful series against West Indies A.

Eranga meanwhile has not played an ODI since July 2013 and is in the squad since Sri Lanka believe he could be a useful asset for the 2015 World Cup.

Mendis comes into the side after he was the only Sri Lankan to be included in the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) ODI team of the year. However, it remains to be seen how he performs since he has not played an ODI for four months.
