Australia have included all-rounder Glenn Maxwell in their squad for the last two Twenty20 Internationals against South Africa.
The move comes after Australia were convincingly beaten by seven wickets in the first Twenty20 International in Adelaide.
“We’ve seen how good he is with the bat in the shortest format of the game,” captain Aaron Finch said. “He also gives us another option for the ball. With so many left-handers in the side, he was probably the type of player we could have done with on Wednesday – an off-spinning all-rounder who can pinch an over here and there.”
The second Twenty20 International between Australia and South Africa will take place on November 7 in Melbourne.
