The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have announced that former spinner Saqlain Mushtaq will work with Saeed Ajmal for another 15 days after his initial contract expired on October 24.
Mushtaq has been helping Ajmal rectify his bowling action after it was found to be illegal by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
“Ajmal has been tested on the 2D equipment at the NCA, where he has [shown] significant improvement,” PCB Cricket Committee chairman Shakil Sheikh said. “After the remedial work is complete, he shall be tested in a state of the art lab with 3D facility.”
Once Mushtaq and the PCB are satisfied with Ajmal’s action, he will travel to England for an official reassessment.
