New Zealand batsman Ross Taylor and pace bowler Adam Milne will miss the upcoming ODI series against South Africa due to injuries.

It has also been announced that batsman Kane Williamson will miss the first ODI due to a wrist injury he picked up while representing the Northern Knights in the Champions League Twenty20 (CLT20) in India and will be assessed next week.

Taylor is currently recovering from a left calf injury, while Milne is nursing an elbow injury.

Pace bowler Tim Southee is also recovering from a shoulder injury, but is expected to be fully fit prior to the start of the ODI series, which gets underway on October 21 in Mount Maunganui.
