Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez is highly likely to miss the upcoming Test series against Australia due to a hand injury.
Hafeez split the webbing between his left thumb and index finger during a training session and needed six stitches to seal the wound.
Hafeez has already been ruled out of the ongoing ODI series against Australia and doctors believe that he is almost certain to miss the Test series against the Baggy Greens and New Zealand as well.
“The doctors have advised him at least four weeks rest and we don’t see him being available for the two Tests against Australia,” a senior Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) official told PTI. “He picked up a bad injury and presently he is also doubtful for the Tests against New Zealand.”
