Kolkata Knight Riders spinner Sunil Narine has been reported for a suspicious bowling action following his side’s 36-run win over the Sunfoil Dolphins in the Champions League Twenty20 (CLT20).

Narine will be allowed to continue bowling, but has been placed on the tournament’s ‘warning list’, which means that if he is reported again, he will be banned from bowling for the rest of the CLT20 and in any Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) events.

However, Narine also has the option of requesting an official assessment from the BCCI’s suspect bowling action committee.

But, Narine has to ensure he is careful since he will be representing the West Indies during their tour of India next month.

Narine was reported by on-field umpires Anil Chaudhary and Chettihody Shamshuddin, and third umpire Kumar Dharmasena, since they were concerned about his quicker delivery.
