Despite sustaining a shoulder injury, South Africa left-arm pace bowler Wayne Parnell is likely to be fit for the national team’s tour of New Zealand next month.
Parnell suffered the injury while representing the Warriors during their first four-day game of the South African domestic season.
Even though Parnell pulled a muscle, Warriors head coach Piet Botha was confident that the 25-year-old would be fully fit “in about 10 days”.
“He is bowling really well. He showed good aggression and was bowling fast,” Botha said. “Because of his pace, if he just a little off line, the ball can go to the boundary but he bowled really well on a pitch that was doing a bit.”
