Lahore Lions captain Mohammad Hafeez has been reported for a suspicious bowling action following his team’s 16-run win over the Sunfoil Dolphins on September 27 in Bangalore.
However, Hafeez wasn’t the only person to be reported as Dolphins spinner Prenelan Subrayen was as well.
The players were reported by umpires Kumar Dharamsena, Vineet Kulkarni and Anil Chaudhary.
Even though both players will be allowed to continue bowling, they have been put on the Champions League Twenty20 (CLT20) ‘warning list’, which means that if they are reported again, they will be banned from bowling for the remainder of the tournament and in all Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) events.
Under the CLT20 rules and regulations, both players also have the option of requesting an official assessment from the BCCI’s suspect bowling action committee.
