The Cape Cobras have brought in Sybrand Engelbrecht as a replacement for all-rounder Jean Paul (JP) Duminy for the ongoing Champions League Twenty20 (CLT20) in India.

Duminy was ruled out of the tournament after injuring his knee during the recently concluded ODI tri-series against Zimbabwe and Australia.

Engelbrecht, 26, is also an all-rounder and scored a crucial 56 in the Ram Slam T20 Challenge final in February this year.

Engelbrecht is expected to play for the Cobras in their next game against the Hobart Hurricanes on September 21.
