Bangladesh batsman Imrul Kayes has been ruled out of the second Test against the West Indies in St Lucia after sustaining a skin infection.
Kayes will visit a doctor in Gros Islet to see whether he can fly back to Bangladesh for treatment.
“Imrul is out of the second Test,” Bangladesh manager Habibul Bashar told ESPNcricinfo. “He hasn’t come to the ground today. We have kept him in the hotel. We will take him to the doctor today and see if he is healthy enough to fly back home.”
Kayes did not field on the last day of the first Test in St Vincent due to a skin rash. As a result, he visited two doctors there before travelling with the national team to St Lucia, where he has been kept in the hotel.
It is understood that Anamul Haque will replace Kayes for the second Test, which gets underway on September 13.
