Pubudu Dassanayake will continue coaching Nepal after he signed a new contract that lasts until June 15, 2015.
Tarini Bikram Shah, who is the acting president of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), recently told ESPNcricinfo that Dassanayake wanted his salary to be increased from $5,000 to $12,000 per month. Under the new agreement, Dassanayake will receive $10,000 per month and an additional $2,000 for local expenses.
Dassanayake will also provide consulting services to the Nepal Ministry of Youth and Sports. He will be required to help them further develop cricket in the country.
However, while he is engaging in this role, Dassanayake will only report to the Government of Nepal.
Dassanayake’s first assignment will be the upcoming Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea.
