Heavy persistent rain saw the first ODI between England and India in Bristol washed out without a single ball being bowled.
Following their 3-1 thrashing in the recently concluded five-Test series, India were looking to bounce back and get things back on track, but they will now have to wait until the second ODI, which will take place in Cardiff on August 27.
The rain was so bad that the two captains, Alastair Cook and Mahendra Singh Dhoni, weren’t even able to leave the pavilion for the toss.
With the ODI series still yet to officially get underway, all eyes will be on both teams when square off against each other tomorrow.
