The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have announced that finance director Brian Havill will be named interim chief executive.

The move comes after David Collier announced that he would be leaving his post as chief executive after a decade in charge.

“His appointment allows retiring CEO David Collier the time to conclude specific projects for both ECB and the International Cricket Council,” an ECB statement said.

Havill has been working for the ECB since 2000.
