Blizzard represented the Hobart Hurricanes during last year’s BBL

The Sydney Thunder have further bolstered their batting line-up by signing former Hobart Hurricanes batsman Aiden Blizzard for this year’s edition of the Big Bash League (BBL).

Blizzard is the Thunder’s latest signing after veteran South Africa all-rounder Jacques Kallis.

“Our strategy in the off season has been to target experienced first-class players who will be available for the whole season,” Thunder general manager Nick Cummins said. “The signing of Aiden is tremendous news as he is an explosive batsman with a wealth of T20 experience.

“Supported by the batting quality of Kallis, Hussey and Khawaja, Aiden should help get our innings off to a great start.”
