Even after he said that he was glad to be out of the England dressing room following their disastrous tour of Australia, former batsman Kevin Pietersen has admitted that he still dreams of representing his country.
Pietersen, who spoke about playing for England via his Twitter account, is currently preparing for the Lord’s Bicentenary match, which will feature MCC taking on a Rest of the World side on July 5.
“My space reserved in the Lord’s dressing room,” he tweeted. “Clothes ready! So excited about tomorrow. I didn’t think I’d have this opportunity to play in front of a full house at Lord’s again. I still do hope that things change and I play for England here again. Time will tell…….”
During the Bicentenary match, legendary India batsman Sachin Tendulkar will captain the MCC side, while Australia spin king Shane Warne will lead the Rest of the World.
