The Pakistan government’s appeal to the Supreme Court has resulted in Najam Sethi returning as chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
The government lodged an appeal after the Islamabad High Court put Zaka Ashraf back in charge and rendered all of Sethi’s decisions useless.
A three-judge bench accepted the Pakistan government’s appeal and it has been announced that all parties will be present for a hearing on May 27.
The decision to nullify Sethi’s decisions would have caused a lot of turmoil within the PCB as Waqar Younis had just been employed as head coach, Grant Flower had just signed on as the national team’s batting coach and Moin Khan was recently appointed as team manager and chief selector.
