Northamptonshire have signed New Zealand pace duo Ian Butler and Neil Wagner for the ongoing county season.

Butler, who has represented New Zealand in eight Tests, 26 ODIs and 19 Twenty20 Internationals, will be available to play for the county side till the end of July.

Wagner, who has played 14 Test matches in a New Zealand jersey, will only be able to represent Northamptonshire after New Zealand’s tour of the West Indies, which finishes in July.

Wagner has taken 50 Test wickets at an average of 35

However, he will be available for the club’s last five County Championship matches.
