Former Pakistan captain and wicketkeeper Moin Khan has been appointed as the national team’s manager and chief selector following his short two-month stint as head coach.
Khan had coached the national team during the recent World Twenty20 tournament, where Pakistan failed to make it to the semi-finals after winning two and losing two of their group stage matches.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have been looking for a chief selector for the past 10 months since Iqbal Qasim decided not to renew his contract.
Meanwhile, the board also named legendary batsman Zaheer Abbas as the principal advisor to PCB chairman Najam Sethi.
