Dhoni ruled out of Asia Cup

Dhoni will undergo rehabilitation for the next 10 days

India have been dealt a huge blow prior to the start of the Asia Cup as it was revealed that captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been ruled out of the tournament with a side strain.

Virat Kohli will take over as captain, while Dinesh Karthik will don the wicketkeeping gloves throughout the tournament.

Dhoni sustained a grade one side strain during the second Test against New Zealand in Wellington and will undergo rehabilitation for the next 10 days.

India’s first Asia Cup match will be against Bangladesh in Fatullah on February 26.
