Chaturanga de Silva placed on standby for Herath in Sri Lanka’s World T20 squad

De Silva is likely to make his international debut during the upcoming Asia Cup

Uncapped all-rounder Chaturanga de Silva has been placed on standby in Sri Lanka’s World Twenty20 squad for spinner Rangana Herath, who is currently recovering from a knee injury.

De Silva, who survived the horrific tsunami in December 2004, has also been included in Sri Lanka’s Asia Cup squad, along with batsman Ashan Priyanjan, who replaced spinner Seekkuge Prasanna.
