Morgan has not represented England in a Test match since February 2012
England batsman Eoin Morgan has decided to pull out of this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL) in order to focus on getting his Test career back on track.
Morgan has not represented England in a Test match since their disastrous tour of the United Arab Emirates in January-February 2012, where they were whitewashed 3-0 by Pakistan.
Morgan was also recently named Middlesex’s one-day captain for the upcoming county season, which he would have missed the beginning of due to the IPL.
“I would like to thank @IPL for accepting my request to withdraw from this years auction. Good luck with the tournament,” Morgan said via his Twitter account.
