Clarke is looking to control his workload heading into the 2015 World Cup
Australia captain Michael Clarke has decided to pull out of the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction in order to take a much-needed four-month break after his team’s tour of South Africa.
Clarke is the second Australian player to pull out of the auction after pace bowler Ryan Harris.
Harris decided to opt out so that he can undergo knee surgery after the South Africa series in order to be fully fit by the time Australia play Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates in October.
