Even though it may anger team director Andy Flower, England batsman Ian Bell has decided to enter this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL) auction and has been affixed a base price of $100,000.

Despite being renowned as a classy Test batsman, Bell regularly contributes with the bat in ODIs and has displayed a various array of shots that are highly unlikely to be seen during any of his innings in the longer format.

Bell is now the tenth English player to put his name forth for the IPL auction.

The other eight are: Ravi Bopara, Jade Dernbach, Alex Hales, Craig Kieswetter, Dimitri Mascarenhas, Eoin Morgan, Samit Patel, Kevin Pietersen and Luke Wright.
