Marsh and Faulkner both picked up injuries during the fifth ODI against England

Just days after pace bowler Jackson Bird re-injured his back, Australia are now sweating over batsman Shaun Marsh and all-rounder James Faulkner after both players picked up injuries during the final ODI against England in Adelaide.

Marsh underwent scans on his calf, while Faulkner did the same thing, except on his knee.

Speaking about Marsh’s injury after Australia’s thrilling five-run win in Adelaide, captain Michael Clarke said: “Hopefully it’s not too bad, hopefully it’s just something small. He was celebrating okay, he was still moving all right out there when he went off the field. Knowing what we have got coming up, [physiotherapist] Alex Kountouris [and] I think they would have kept him off the field just for precaution more than anything else.”
