Milne will miss the rest of the ODI series against India

New Zealand pace bowler Adam Milne has been ruled out for the next six weeks after tearing his abdominal muscle during the Black Caps’ 24-run victory over India in the first ODI in Napier.

Milne will miss the rest of the ODI series and has been replaced by Hamish Bennett.

Bennett’s last ODI for New Zealand came against Sri Lanka during the 2011 World Cup.

However, he was brought back into the side following his outstanding form with the ball in the ongoing Plunket Shield season, where he has taken 24 wickets at an impressive average of 23.12 in the five matches he has played for Canterbury.
