Irfan will be out of action for the next six weeks

Pakistan pace bowler Mohammad Irfan has been ruled out for the next six weeks with a hip fracture and could possibly miss the entire upcoming series against Sri Lanka, which gets underway on December 11.

Irfan sustained the injury during the second and final Twenty20 International against South Africa in Dubai last month.

Pakistan’s series against Sri Lanka will consist of two Twenty20 Internationals, five ODIs and three Test matches.
