Heal has been a NZC member since 2008
New Zealand Cricket (NZC) have appointed Stuart Heal as their full-time chairman, just weeks after he was chosen to be the interim chairman when Chris Moller announced that he would not stand for the recent elections.
Heal, who was previously head of Otago Cricket, has been a NZC board member since 2008.
He was re-elected to the board during the elections in September.
With the 2014 World Twenty20 in Bangladesh and 2015 International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup in Australia and New Zealand fast approaching, Heal stated that it was an exciting time to be working for the board.
“Hosting one of the world’s biggest sporting events is a huge opportunity for both NZC and the sport in this country,” Heal said. “We need to ensure we do everything possible to reap the benefits of having the world’s best players on our shores.”
