Jamshed is determined to regain his spot in the Test side
Pakistan opening batsman Nasir Jamshed has admitted to being “disappointed” after he was dropped from the Test side for the national team’s ongoing tour of Zimbabwe.
Jamshed was absolutely unstoppable in ODIs last year as he scored 462 runs in eight innings at an incredible average of 66, but the same couldn’t be said about his Test statistics as he could only amass a mere 51 runs in four innings, with his highest score of 46 coming against South Africa.
“Test cricket is an important format and essential for every big player,” Jamshed said. “I am disappointed over being dropped from the Test side. I will try my best to regain a place in the five-day format too by giving good performances in ODIs and T20s. If I am given another chance in Test cricket, you will find me a more mature player. I have realised my mistakes [in South Africa] and I have learnt the lessons.”
