Bresnan’s return date will be determined in due course
England pace bowler Tim Bresnan, who played a vital role throughout the recent Ashes series, has been ruled out for the remainder of the international season after suffering a stress fracture in his lower back.
Bresnan picked up the injury during the fourth Ashes Test in Durham, in which he took three wickets and scored a crucial 45 runs in the second innings.
According to reports, Bresnan will start his rehabilitation soon and a date for his return will be determined in due course.
This injury is just the latest setback for the Yorkshireman as he underwent elbow surgery for the second time in February, which ruled him out of England’s tour of New Zealand.
