All of the matches between Pakistan and the West Indies will be played in the Caribbean

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) have failed to reach an agreement to play two of their scheduled Twenty20 Internationals in the United States.

The two boards were discussing playing the two Twenty20 Internationals in Florida later this month due to its large Asian and West Indian population.

“The two T20s were part of Pakistan’s revised tour to the West Indies which also includes five one-day internationals,” a senior PCB official told PTI. “But due to time constraints and other issues the matches will now be played in the Caribbean.”

The official also stated that the matches would have helped promote the sport in the United States and would have improved relations between the three nations.

“But they were issues lining up the matches at such a short notice,” the official said.

The official noted that all the matches would be played in the Caribbean and the Pakistan team would return home later this month.

“Only those players who have signed up for the Caribbean Premier League will remain there and the team will than tour Zimbabwe in mid August for a short series,” the official added.
